Operations
Status: staging-operated. A live staging fixture is operated on Hetzner with SurrealDB-remote storage. Production admission is still gated. See reference/fixture-vs-production.md.
These pages cover running Gestalt: locally, on the staging Hetzner fixture, and the observability surface.
- Local fixture — run the fixture cloud on your machine.
- Hetzner + Cloudflare — the staging deploy.
- Observability — health, ready, version, metrics, and durable trial evidence.
- Incident communication — how a pilot customer learns about an incident and what is in the message.
- Customer support boundaries — what support can and cannot do for a pilot customer.
Operating principles
Section titled “Operating principles”- Fixture stays fixture. No production admission is enabled anywhere. Every deploy artifact says so. Operators do not flip flags to make fixture authentic; they wait for the runtime to provide the path.
- Co-tenancy means caution. The Hetzner staging host runs
sibling Gestalt services. The Aion fixture deploy must only
touch
/opt/gestalt-fixtureandgestalt-fixture.service. See hetzner-cloudflare.md. - Trial scripts are evidence. Every M-milestone has a deploy script that produces a proof bundle. Treat the bundle as the ops record, not the console output.
- No customer data in fixture. The staging fixture must never contain real customer data or real legal claims.
